Saint Laurent Logo Download (AI, PDF, SVG, PNG)
Download the Saint Laurent logo in AI, PDF, SVG and PNG formats. This artwork presents the Saint Laurent name as a distinctive black wordmark with tall letterforms, sharp angles and dramatic contrasts between thick and thin strokes. The AI, PDF and SVG files provide scalable vector versions, while the PNG file includes a transparent background for quick use in presentations, moodboards and design previews.
The Design of the Saint Laurent Logo
The logo is built entirely from custom uppercase lettering rather than a separate symbol. Its most prominent feature is the oversized “S,” which begins with a broad upper curve and finishes with a long sweeping terminal below the baseline. This gives the left side of the wordmark a more expressive shape and establishes the visual character of the composition immediately.
The remaining letters combine narrow proportions with pointed joins and carefully controlled curves. The “A” has a steep triangular construction, the “N” letters use strong diagonal strokes, and the rounded forms in the “U” and “R” soften the otherwise angular structure. Near the centre, the end of “SAINT” and the beginning of “LAURENT” are visually connected by overlapping vertical strokes, creating a compact interlocking detail within the longer horizontal wordmark.
Strong contrast between fine hairlines and heavier strokes gives the lettering an elegant, fashion-oriented appearance. The logo remains recognizable without color, gradients or additional graphic elements, relying instead on proportion, spacing and the unusual construction of the letters. Because these details are difficult to reproduce with a standard typeface, the original vector artwork is preferable when a clean result is required at larger sizes.
Saint Laurent and the YSL Monogram
The house was founded by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé in 1961. That year, French graphic designer Cassandre created the famous YSL monogram by intertwining the initials of Yves Saint Laurent. The historic monogram remains closely associated with the fashion house, but it is a separate design from the Saint Laurent wordmark provided on this page.
In 2012, the ready-to-wear label was rebranded as Saint Laurent, referencing the Saint Laurent Rive Gauche identity introduced during the 1960s. As a result, the names Saint Laurent, Yves Saint Laurent and YSL are connected to the same fashion house but may appear through different wordmarks, monograms and product identities.
Available Formats
The AI file is suitable for editing in Adobe Illustrator and other compatible vector applications. SVG is useful for websites and responsive digital layouts, while PDF preserves the vector structure for print and document workflows. The transparent PNG version is intended for quick placement in presentation slides, mockups and visual reference boards.
