Patreon introduced its current logo and visual identity on October 4, 2023, replacing the geometric “P” symbol used since 2017 with a more organic, three-dimensional mark. The redesign was developed with Wolff Olins, type foundry ABC Dinamo and artist David McLeod as part of a broader shift toward a more expressive and creator-focused identity.

Unlike a conventional logo, the new Patreon symbol does not have one fixed canonical shape. It is designed as a fluid, abstract “P” that can move, change texture and appear in different forms while remaining recognizable. The accompanying wordmark is also adaptive, using variable typography that can become lighter or denser depending on the context.

The identity reflects how much Patreon has changed since Jack Conte and Sam Yam launched the platform in 2013. What began primarily as a way for fans to financially support creators has expanded into a broader platform for memberships, communities and digital commerce, and the 2023 rebrand was designed to represent that wider role.
