The Minnesota Timberwolves introduced their latest logo on June 7, 2026, as part of a complete identity refresh for the 2026–27 season. The design brings together several eras of Timberwolves history, combining a redesigned wolf with the tree imagery associated with the Kevin Garnett era and the brighter blue, green and white palette used when the franchise debuted.
The new identity was developed by the Timberwolves organization after years of fan feedback, although the team has not publicly credited the 2026 logo to a single designer or outside studio. It replaces the 2017 identity created by Rodney Richardson of RARE Design, whose howling wolf and North Star established the basic direction that preceded the latest redesign.
One of the most distinctive details is the return of the trees, a visual element strongly associated with the team’s 1996–2008 era. The wider 2026 identity also uses five trees as a subtle reference to the five players in a basketball starting lineup, while the updated colors reconnect the franchise with its original 1989 look.
