The Koton logo is a clean black wordmark distinguished by its two unusual “O” characters, each constructed from four connected circular forms. This geometric detail gives the otherwise simple lettering a recognizable visual signature while keeping the identity flexible enough for clothing labels, storefronts, packaging and digital use.
The characteristic wordmark has been part of Koton’s registered identity since at least the early 2010s and continues to be used by the brand today. Public trademark records describe both O letters specifically as designs made from four connected circles. No individual designer or design agency has been reliably credited for the current logo, and there is no documented recent redesign that would justify assigning it a newer introduction date.
Koton was founded in Istanbul in 1988 and grew from a small clothing business into an international fashion retailer. The company began wholesale operations in 1992, opened its first international sales point in Munich in 1996 and later shifted its focus toward large-scale retail. By the end of 2024, Koton operated 451 stores across 32 countries.
