ING is a Dutch financial institution known for retail banking, commercial banking, digital banking, investment services and financial technology. The brand is easy to recognize because of its orange lion symbol, which connects the bank’s identity directly to its Dutch roots.
The ING Bank logo combines a simple wordmark with the orange lion mark. This gives the identity both clarity and heritage: the letters make the brand easy to read, while the lion adds a strong historical and national reference.
ING was formed in 1991 through the merger of Nationale-Nederlanden and NMB Postbank Group. Although the company is modern by name, the visual identity carries older Dutch banking and insurance references.
The orange lion is the most important part of the ING logo. Orange is strongly associated with the Netherlands, while the lion connects to Dutch heraldic tradition. Because of that, the mark feels more distinctive than many bank logos that rely only on abstract shapes or conservative typography.
The lion was also used by one of ING’s predecessors, Nederlandsche Middenstandsbank, on stationery and official documents in the 1950s and 1960s. That gives the logo more historical depth than a purely modern banking symbol.

The ING identity is strongly associated with orange. For clean design reference, use the original SVG or EPS file instead of rebuilding the mark manually.
Color values can vary depending on print, screen and official brand asset versions. For production use, always compare your file with official ING brand materials or approved logo artwork.
