The Golden State Warriors’ current logo was introduced for the 2019–20 season as a refinement of the bridge identity first adopted in 2010. The circular mark features the eastern span of the San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge in blue against a golden yellow background, surrounded by the Golden State Warriors name.
The original 2010 redesign was developed through an 18-month collaboration between the Warriors, the NBA and adidas, while no individual designer has been publicly credited for the 2019 update. The latest version corrected the shape and structural details of the bridge to more accurately reflect the completed eastern span and introduced updated lettering and a custom typeface.
An interesting detail is that the bridge in the logo is not the Golden Gate Bridge. The Warriors chose the Bay Bridge as a symbol connecting San Francisco and the East Bay, and the first version was created before the new eastern span was even completed in 2013. The circular composition also pays tribute to the famous “The City” identity introduced in 1966, which featured a bridge inside a circle and was originally designed under team owner Franklin Mieuli.
