About Courier
Howard “Bud” Kettler designed Courier for IBM in the 1950s. It was originally made for typewriters and later became a standard choice for manuscripts, screenplays and technical documents.
Courier has appeared in many digital versions over the years. Its fixed spacing remains useful when text needs predictable alignment, especially in scripts, tables and plain-text layouts.
