The Borusan logo combines a distinctive orange emblem with a grey-blue wordmark. The company treats the emblem, lettering and color combination as core elements of its corporate identity, with the orange defined as Pantone 165 and the wordmark as Pantone 7544. The logotype was custom drawn from a foundation based on Helvetica Neue Heavy rather than being used as standard typeset text.
Borusan’s corporate identity is designed to work consistently across a broad group of businesses. Companies including Borusan Lojistik, Borusan Mannesmann and other group brands use the same visual language or a closely connected corporate signature, allowing the orange emblem and Borusan name to act as a common identifier across industries ranging from steel and logistics to automotive, energy and machinery.
Borusan traces its roots to 1944, when İstikbal Ticaret was established to trade iron and steel and export agricultural products. Entrepreneur Ahmet Kocabıyık founded the company with his son Asım Kocabıyık as a founding partner and board member. Asım Kocabıyık later became the driving figure behind the group’s development and is recognized by Borusan as its founder and honorary president.
The group’s first major industrial investment came in 1958 with the establishment of Borusan Boru Sanayi. Borusan Holding was formed in 1972 to bring the growing group of companies under a single structure, beginning the transformation from a trading business into one of Turkey’s major diversified industrial groups.
