Behance has used its distinctive typographic identity since the platform’s early years, with the brand name commonly styled as “Bēhance” and a shortened “Bē” mark used for icons and compact applications. While the icon has been refined over time, the core wordmark has remained remarkably consistent compared with many other major digital platforms.

Behance was founded by Scott Belsky and designer Matias Corea in 2005 as a platform for creative professionals to showcase their work. Corea played a central role in the design side of the company and later served as Head of Design for Behance after Adobe acquired the platform in 2012. A single individual designer has not been publicly credited for the current logo.

One distinctive feature of the identity is the macron above the “e” in the compact Bē symbol. The extremely simple typography reflects the platform itself: rather than competing visually with the artwork displayed on Behance, the identity stays neutral and lets designers, illustrators, photographers and other creatives remain the focus.
