The Republic of Gamers logo, known as the “Fearless Eye,” has represented ASUS ROG since the brand’s earliest years. ROG was founded in 2006, but its first Crosshair motherboard initially used a cubic “G” symbol. The angular eye appeared soon afterward on the ASUS G1 gaming laptop and became the defining emblem of the Republic of Gamers identity.
The logo was designed to represent the sharp focus and precision of a gamer’s eye, while the shape inside the symbol intentionally resembles the letter “G” for gamers. ROG has refined its wider visual identity over the years, including a major brand-system update around its 15th anniversary, but the core Fearless Eye has remained recognizable. No individual designer has been publicly credited for the original symbol; current brand design credits are attributed to ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
An interesting detail is that the famous eye was not actually ROG’s first logo. The original “Project G” identity appeared on the first Crosshair motherboard before the Fearless Eye took over, making today’s symbol the result of the brand’s earliest experimentation rather than the mark it launched with.
